What Is Nottingham Nature Nook?

Nottingham Nature Nook (the Nook) is a 501(c)(3) Non-profit organization.

  • NNN is a wildlife rehabilitation center that raises and releases wildlife babies and cares for injured adults. We also work to educate the public about the wildlife around them through our website, social media pages, Kids4Nature Program and our Stewards of Nature Blog.
  • The Nook also educates the public as to when help is needed with wildlife and when it is not, and what immediate steps to take.
  • NNN encourages people to become stewards of nature who protect, enhance and develop a more intimate relationship with nature.
  • The Nook is also a nature sanctuary that fosters learning opportunities as well as offering a healing alternative with both Equine and Wildlife Therapy.

Why should we care about helping wildlife?

Saving Life

Quite simply because it is the “right” thing to do! It is something we do without thinking because saving another life comes straight from the heart.

Reconnect

When we save or care for a wild creature we reconnect with the universal life energy.

Feed Our Spirits

By saving these fragile creatures we feed our own fragile spirits.

Kindness

In one small act of kindness we make a huge difference in the life of another being.
